The very first car race was organized on 30 August, 1867. It was a prearranged race with two vehicles that took place in early hours. 20 years later, on 28 April, 1887, the very first motor competition took place in Paris. Gradually, races were organized throughout with different kinds of self-powered vehicles. Be it city to city racing or racing circuits, the car racing evolved into a full-fledged sport.
