Aston Martin's Vantage GT12 Roadster

Aston Martin's Vantage GT12 Roadster

This is a special edition of the Aston Martin Vantage, right before a second generation model is to be brought out in 2017. This refined version has taken, according to Aston Martin, 9 months in the making.  This amazing model is all that a single driver needs.  It has stunning performance and light weight. This aluminum car is surely a beauty waiting to be driven by the most daring driver.

With respect to previous models, the GT12 roadster keeps the 6-liter, V-12 engine. A much better performance is achieved by the addition of a magnesium torque tube, a titanium exhaust system, and magnesium inlet manifolds.  But performance was not the only goal.  These special features also make the car lighter making it fuel-efficient.

The engine has 595 horsepower. Some enhancing composites of the car are made of carbon. Beyond this, the Aston Martin´s Vantage GT12 Roadster is a tailor-made vehicle. Definitively one of a kind.

David King, Aston Martin’s vice-president and chief special officer has said, "Aston Martin has a growing reputation of building ambitious commissions for customers, perhaps the best example being the spectacular CC100 Speedster Concept. We have also become world leaders in ultra-low volume projects with cars such as the One-77, Lagonda Taraf and Aston Martin Vulcan. The GT12 Roadster is the first project to combine all of those skill sets in one magnificent car. In just nine-months we took a customer’s dream and realized it, with a fully-formed, exactingly engineered and fully road-legal one-off. That is the essence of the Q by Aston Martin service."

This special edition vehicle is suited for demands of performance and is a special road-running version of the GT3 race car.
